Yuvraj Singh may have retired from international cricket, but he continues to play in foreign leagues. Now he can be seen playing T20 for a cricket club in Melbourne Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) tournament in Australia. This claim has been made by Mulgrave Cricket Club.
The club claims that it is also in talks with West Indies’ Brian Lara, Chris Gayle and South Africa’s AB de Villiers. The head coach of this club is former Sri Lankan captain Sanath Jayasuriya.
Yuvi and Gayle can play together
Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga are also playing for Mulgrave club in the last season. Dilshan had scored 132 runs in the last season. If things work out with Yuvraj and Gayle, then these two legends can be seen playing together in this season. Club President Milan Pulenaygam said that Dilshan, Tharanga and Jayasuriya are still associated with the club. Even with Yuvraj and Gayle, about 85% to 90% of the talks are done.
Yuvraj hit 6 sixes in 6 balls
Yuvraj had hit 6 sixes in an over against England in a match of the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvi had put these sixes in the over of fast bowler Stuart Broad. Also, Yuvraj took 362 runs and 15 wickets in 9 matches at an average of 90.50 in the 2011 World Cup. He was also adjudged the Player of the Series in that World Cup.
