Indian-origin Rahul Roy Chowdhury has been appointed as the new CEO of Grammarly. Rahul will take over as the CEO of the company from May 1. Grammarly is a San Francisco based company, which provides English writing assistance service. Rahul has been working at Grammarly as the Global Head of Product for the past 2 years.
Current CEO Brad Hoover gave information in a blog post
Brad Hoover, the current CEO of Grammarly, in one of his blog posts informed about the appointment of Rahul Roy as the new CEO of the company. Brad Hoover wrote, ‘We are now at a new juncture regarding our product and business. Now we need to move fast to scale up. The new leadership will prove helpful in moving forward at this juncture.
Rahul Roy will take over as CEO from May 1, 2023
Brad Hoover further wrote, ‘After handling Grammarly for 12 years, I am now handing over this responsibility to Rahul Roy, who is currently working as Global Head of Product in the company, who will take over as CEO from May 1, 2023.’
Work done in big companies like Google-Amazon
Rahul Roy Chowdhury has studied from big institutions like Stanford University, Columbia University and Hamilton College. He joined Grammarly in March 2021. Prior to joining Grammarly, he held key positions at large companies such as Google and Amazon.
Rahul Roy worked in Google for 14 years.
In his career, Rahul Roy has spent the longest time in Google. He stayed at Google for 14 years. He was made the Vice President of Product Management in the company. Rahul left the company in March 2021 while assuming the responsibility of this post.
