Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that West Bengal has seen the rule of the Congress, has seen the rule of the Left parties and now has also seen the rule of the Trinamool Congress Party. People there want change and this time want to give BJP a chance. Gadkari said this in a special conversation with NewsBust. He said that we believe that the BJP will be successful in getting a majority this time in Bengal. Significantly, in the West Bengal assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given full force to oust the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government. Under this, strong leaders of the BJP government are constantly visiting the state for campaigning. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has also reached West Bengal to campaign for the party.
Asked if the Trinamool Congress says that the people of Bengal will vote for ‘their daughter’, will not accept ‘outsiders’, Gadkari said that we respect the culture and heritage of Bengal. Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat are all different states, the language is different but the country is one. Things like ‘outsider’ arise at the time of elections. On the question about ‘BJP has no face for CM post’ in the state, Gadkari said – We have faces only. He said that more than face, people believe in the leadership of Narendra Modi. Our performance at the center gives people confidence that the BJP will also change the picture of Bengal. He stressed that the CM of Bengal will be from this state.
