Akhilesh Yadav had come to Bijnor to attend a private function. During this, in a conversation with reporters, he alleged that in the state assembly elections held last year, the BJP and the administration jointly defeated the winning candidates of the opposition by ‘dishonesty’.
He said that this time the people of the country will have to vote in the Lok Sabha elections to save the Constitution. Referring to Naemul Hasan, who contested the Dhampur assembly seat, the SP president said that Hasan, who was winning by 203 votes, was declared defeated.
Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the audio of a BJP leader was broadcast during the elections. After the SP government comes to power, a forensic examination of the audio will be done to see how much interference the administration had in the election results.
Regarding the action of bulldozers on the properties of mafia elements by the state government, Akhilesh Yadav said that it has come to know that BJP leaders have more than 20 thousand illegal buildings in Banaras itself. In Bareilly, the administration broke the petrol pump of SP MLA Shahjil Islam, but there are illegal nursing homes and petrol pumps owned by BJP on which no action has been taken.
