First of all let’s see the weather report
There is a lot of fog in Dhaka/Mirpur in the month of December. This will happen on Sunday as well. However, in the presence of floodlights this should not be a problem. There is zero chance of rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be 30 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 17 degree Celsius throughout the match. Due to the minimum effect of dew in the match, the match is being started at 11:30 am according to India’s timing.
Match is on high scoring ground
The match is to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. For the first time since May 2021, an ODI match is going to be held here. So far, the team batting first has scored 300+ 12 times. The record of making the biggest ODI total on this ground is in the name of Team India. India scored 370/4 here in the 2011 World Cup.
There have been 13 ODIs between India and Bangladesh here so far. Team India has won 9 of these. Bangladesh has won 3 matches. 1 match match has been inconclusive. So far 22 ODIs have been played between the two teams in Bangladesh. India won 17 and Bangladesh won 4 matches
Toss doesn’t have much effect
So far 113 ODI matches have been played in this stadium. The team batting first has won 53 matches. 59 matches have been won by the team batting later. 1 match has been inconclusive. It is clear from these figures that the toss does not have much effect on this ground. There is a slight advantage in favor of the team batting later.
Next, we will see the possible playing XI of both the teams, before that let us know which record of Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka can be broken by Virat Kohli here.
Chance to become second batsman to score 1000 ODI runs in Bangladesh

If Virat scores 76 runs in this innings, he will become the highest ODI run-scorer by a foreign batsman in Bangladesh. Now this record is in the name of Sangakkara. Sangakkara has played 21 ODIs in this country and scored 1045 runs at an average of 52.25. It includes 3 centuries.
