Mumbai:
An Indian Navy helicopter was made an emergency landing off the coast of Mumbai on Wednesday and three personnel on board were safely evacuated. An officer gave this information. This modern ‘Light Helicopter’ (ALH) took off on a routine sortie and landed near the coast. The official said that it was immediately ensured by the naval patrol aircraft that the three crew members were safely evacuated from the helicopter. He says that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
The crew has put down the stricken helicopter admirably well. EFG inflated evenly. Rescue & salvage teams on the dot. The very first navy ALH ditching. Copybook.
I think the navy has all the evidence they need to nail this one.
