Preparations for the introduction of Corona vaccination across the country have intensified. There will be 81 sites in Delhi where Kovid vaccines will be planted. Of these, the Covishield vaccine – developed by Oxford University – will be given at 75 sites. Which will include government and private hospitals. Kovaxin of Bharat Biotech will be given at six sites – all of them centrally run hospitals. Earlier on Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a press conference regarding vaccination. Kejriwal had said, ‘On the first day the vaccine will be installed at 81 places. Daily 100 people will be vaccinated at one place.
Kejriwal had said that 8,100 people will get vaccinated every day in the beginning. The vaccine will be installed 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). Immunization centers will be increased from 81 to 175 in a few days and then to 1000. So far, 2,74,000 vaccines have been received from the central government. Our government is fully prepared for the vaccination of the people of Delhi.
He also said that one person will take two doses. Keeping in mind the wear and tear, the central government is giving 10 percent extra dose. So the doses that have been received are enough for 1,20,000 health workers. 2,40,000 health care workers have been registered in Delhi. We hope that we will get the rest of the vaccine too soon. Except four days a week (the day the vaccine is applied), the rest of the day will be vaccinated against other diseases and we do not want people with other diseases to be disturbed by this vaccine.
Significantly, in the country’s capital Delhi, the havoc of Corona is getting reduced. In the last 24 hours, there were 340 new cases of Corona virus infection, after which the number of infected people increased to 6,31,589. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, 4 more patients died due to this deadly virus, after which the number of deaths increased to 10,722.
