The panchayat elections held in Uttar Pradesh ahead of next year’s assembly elections are being seen as a litmus test for political parties. The results of this panchayat election for four terms have started coming. SP is looking to pass in this exam. In districts like Ayodhya, Varanasi, Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav’s party has defeated the BJP. However, it will take a few hours more for the full results to come out.

  • Ayodhya: BJP has suffered badly in Ram’s city. Here SP has captured 24 out of 40 seats of Zilla Panchayat member. BJP has got only 6 seats in its account. Mayawati’s BSP has won 5 seats.
  • Varanasi: In BJP’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi, 8 BJP candidates have won 40 seats of Zilla Panchayat member and SP has held 14 positions. Apart from this, Independents 1, Apna Dal 1, BSP 1, Aam Aadmi Party 1 seat. Counting of votes on the remaining seats continues.
  • Mathura: The BSP has claimed to win 12 candidates. Whereas in the BJP account, 9 seats and SP has to run from one seat. 3 independents have won. The Congress party has cleared here.
  • Lucknow: The results of 25 seats of the District Panchayat in the Parliamentary constituency of Union Minister Rajnath Singh and in the capital Lucknow have come. Of these, BJP has won 3, SP 10, BSP 4 and others 8 seats.
  • Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has won 20 out of 68 BJP candidates and 19 SP candidates. Results of 65 Zilla Panchayat members have been received so far. Independent candidates have won the maximum number of 21 posts. At the same time, two of the BSP, Congress, AAP and Nishad Party have won one post each. The results of the three wards are yet to come.

Final results expected today
In Uttar Pradesh, 12 lakh 89 thousand 930 candidates for the post of Zilla Panchayat Member, Kshetra Panchayat Member, Pradhan and Gram Panchayat Ward Member have landed. According to the State Election Commission, 2,32,6,12 Gram Panchayat members and 38,317 Pradhan and 55,926 Kshetra Panchayat members and 181 Zilla Panchayat members have won in all districts of the state till Monday night. Results of some other place have also come.

Results have not been updated on the website yet. At present, counting of votes is being done at 826 polling stations. The results are expected by Tuesday evening. In this, the main district panchayat member is known. In this, the parties do not give their symbol.
