Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a steady decline in deaths and new cases of corona infection. On Monday, 278 infected people have died due to Kovid-19 infection and 21,331 new cases have been reported. Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters here on Monday that in the last 24 hours, 278 infected have died in the state and 21,331 new ones have been found.
He said that a total of 15,742 people have died and 15,24,767 people have been infected since the onset of the infection. Prasad claimed that the number of people being treated and going home compared to those who are infected is continuously increasing. He told that in the last 24 hours, 29,709 people have become infection-free relative to 21,331 new ones. He told that till now 12,83,754 people have become infection free.
The official said that 2,25,271 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state of which 1,66,370 people are in isolation and the rest are undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals. In the last 24 hours, more than 2.19 lakh samples have been tested in the state, while so far more than 4.31 crore samples have been tested in the state.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed control of corona infection on Sunday, saying that there were 77,000 fewer cases of corona patients in the state than on April 30, 2021. According to the health bulletin released on Monday, the number of infected people in the state capital Lucknow has been steadily decreasing and in the last 24 hours, 1,274 newly infected and 26 patients have died.
However, during this period, the maximum number of new patients in the state were found in Meerut, whose number has been recorded 2,269. 1,031 patients were found in Gorakhpur, 1,026 in Gautam Buddha Nagar and in other districts its number has come down to one thousand. In the last 24 hours, the maximum number of 30 infected people has died in Kanpur city in the state. Apart from this, 16 patients died in Jhansi, 15 in Azamgarh, 12-12 in Hardoi and Gonda and 10 more in Gautam Budh Nagar.
