US Parliament will vote for impeachment against Donald trump today, letter war between Speaker and vice president – Voting on impeachment against Trump today

The outgoing US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

The House of Representatives, the lower house of the US parliament, passed the resolution by 223 votes against 205 and requested Vice President Mike Pence and the cabinet to use the 25th constitutional amendment. However Mike Pence has written to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying that he will not allow President Donald Trump to be removed from office by using the 25th Amendment. In response to this, Pelosi has also said that she will give 24 hours to the Vice President whether he agrees to the request of the House or not.

However, it is unlikely that Mike Pence would accept Donald Trump’s removal through the 25th Constitution Amendment, following the House’s request. Therefore, the House is also moving forward on the motion for impeachment against President Trump. This proposal has been introduced in the House and it will be debated today.

According to Washington local time, the house meeting will start at 9 am. That is, according to Indian time, this meeting will start at seven thirty in the evening. Voting on this proposal is scheduled in the House today. If the motion for impeachment is passed by the lower house of America, then it will be sent to the upper house, the Senate, whose meeting is scheduled from January 19. However, the Democratic Party does not have a majority in the Senate.

US parliamentarians David Ciciline, Jamie Ruskin and Ted Liu have proposed impeachment, supported by 211 members of the House of Representatives. It was introduced in the House on Monday. In this impeachment motion, the outgoing president has been accused of inciting violence and treason outside the US Parliament House on January 6 through his acts.
