Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today (Tuesday) targeted former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, saying that the first lesson of Lord Ram is to speak the truth and Rahul has never spoken the truth in life. In fact, while sharing the news of the attack on a Muslim elder in Ghaziabad, the Congress MP tweeted, ‘I am not ready to believe that true devotees of Shri Ram can do this. Such cruelty is far from humanity and is shameful for both society and religion.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi, CM Yogi wrote, ‘The first lesson of Lord Shri Ram is – “Speak the truth” which you have never done in life. You should be ashamed that even after telling the truth by the police, you are engaged in spreading poison in the society. In the greed of power, humanity is being shamed. Stop humiliating, defaming the people of Uttar Pradesh.

Let us inform that in Ghaziabad district, the police have arrested two more people for beating an elderly Muslim man and forcibly cutting his beard. The victim claims that those who thrashed him had asked him to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

The police have ruled out any communal angle in the case. He says that some six people, including Hindus and Muslims, were among those who beat up Sufi Abdul Samad and all were unhappy about the amulets sold by him.
