Direndra Singh, the main accused in the murder case in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by the STF near Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow. Two other accused were also arrested with him. After the surrender notice in the court, Dhirendra was reported to be in Lucknow through surveillance. Dhirendra is close to Ballia MLA Surendra Singh.
There were 12 teams in search of Dhirendra aka W. The police of Mau and Azamgarh were also arrested for his arrest. Meanwhile there was discussion that Dhirendra could surrender in court on Monday. He also filed a surrender application in court on Saturday. The police had announced a reward of 50 thousand on him. So far 10 accused have been arrested along with Dhirendra’s two brothers Devendra and Narendra.

The Yogi government had directed DIG Azamgarh Subhash Chandra Dubey to camp in Ballia itself. It has been said that until the main accused Dhirendra Singh is arrested, he will remain there. Vishwas Pant, commissioner of Azamgarh division is also present in Ballia.

In Durjanpur, a meeting was going on regarding the quota shop at the panchayat building on 15 October. The police force of SDM Bairia Suresh Pal, CO Chandrakesh Singh, BDO Gajendra Pratap Singh and Revathi police station was also present. It is alleged that during the dispute, Dhirendra Singh killed Jayaprakash Pal. He then escaped. SDM and CO were also suspended in the case. All the accused have also been asked to take action under the Gangster and National Security Act (NSA).
