Patel said, “People of Bengal are angry with Mamta Banerjee government and want change. The BJP will win over 200 seats in Bengal and defeat the Trinamool Congress and form the government. Bengal is a victim of neglect of the state government. ”Patel, who went on a tour of North Bengal, alleged that the state government did nothing for the tea garden workers.

Significantly, Home Minister Amit Shah has finalized his strategy for the assembly elections in West Bengal and has given different responsibilities to many ministers. Under Mission Bengal, eight ministers of the Center and the state have been given the responsibility of separate Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal. There are 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state of which 18 are with BJP. BJP has targeted to win 200 assembly seats out of 293 in the state.

These are Minister of Water Power Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda, Minister of State for Culture Prahlad Patel, Minister of State for Shipping Mansukh Bhai Mandavia, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Sanjeev Balyan, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityananda Rai, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, and Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra.

Union Minister of State for Tourism Prahlad Patel has been given the charge of maximum six Lok Sabha seats. These are Lok Sabha – Cooch Behar, Alipurdar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Raiganj and Balurghat. Other ministers have been given the responsibility of five Lok Sabha constituencies. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been given the responsibility of Bongaon, Dum Dum, Barsat, Kolkata South and Kolkata North. Arjun Munda has been made in charge of Jhargram, Medinipur, Purlia, Bankura and Bishanpur. Sanjeev Balyan has been given the responsibility of Jangipur, Baharampur, Murshidabad, Krishnanagar and Ranaghat. Mansukh Bhai Mandavia was given the responsibility of Malda North, Malda South, Tamluk, Kanthi and Ghatal. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai has been made in charge of Barrackpore, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurpur and Diamond Harbor. Keshav Prasad Maurya will be in charge of Howrah, Ulberia, Shrirampur, Hooghly and Arambagh. Narottam Mishra has been made in charge of Bardhaman East, Bardhaman Durgapur, Asansol, Bolpur and Birbhum.
