The dead body of Sabir’s brother, who was involved in the Umesh Pal murder case with a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh, has been found in a suspicious condition. The body of shooter Sabir’s brother Zakir was found in Kokhraj police station area of Kaushambi district. This dead body was found abandoned in a field in Mohammadpur village and it also has injury marks at some places. Sabir’s uncle Shamsuddin and sister have identified the dead body. According to the information, Sabir and Zakir are residents of Mariadih area of Puramufti police station area of Prayagraj. Sabir has been absconding ever since his name surfaced in the Umesh Pal shootout case and a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh has been declared on him.

Umesh Pal’s wife Jaya Pal lodged an FIR in this matter at Dhumanganj police station the next day of the incident. In this FIR, former MP Ateeq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, Ateeq’s two sons, Ateeq’s companions Guddu Muslim and Ghulam and nine others were convicted for the attack. After this, the police formed several teams to nab the culprits and took swift action, the results of which are also coming to the fore.
