Britain’s PM Rishi Sunak made this mistake to make a video while driving, had to apologize
British PM Rishi Sunak is once again in the headlines. This time not because of any big decision, but because of an apology. Sunak had removed his seatbelt while driving in north-west England on Thursday while making a video for social media. Now he has apologized for the mistake of removing the seat belt.

Sunak’s Downing Street spokesman said he had only temporarily unbuckled his seatbelt and he accepts he made a mistake.
In Britain, there is a provision to collect an “on-the-spot” fine of £100 for not wearing a seatbelt in a car. This increases to £500 if the matter goes to court. When the video of Sunak not wearing seat belt came on social media, he immediately accepted the mistake.
His spokesperson says that the PM had removed his seat belt to film a short clip. He fully accepts that it was a mistake and offers a heartfelt apology for the same.
The spokesperson said, “The Prime Minister believes that everyone should wear seat belts.”
Sunak filmed a video to promote his government’s new Leveling Up Fund announcements to fund over 100 projects across the country. Addressing the camera, police motorcycles can be seen alongside their cars.
A Labor spokesman said, “Rishi Sunak doesn’t know how to manage a seat belt, his debit card, a train service, the economy, this country. The list is growing every day, and is creating an endlessly painful scene.”
The matter came to light after he came under fire from the opposition for using a Royal Air Force (RAF) jet to fly to the north of the country. Downing Street insisted that the aircraft was used to ensure the best use of the prime minister’s time.
