CM said – help for two months does not mean that lockdown will remain in Delhi for two months
The Delhi government has announced free ration for 72 months ration card holders for two months and financial assistance of Rs 5-5 thousand to 1.56 lakh auto-taxi drivers during the lockdown for two months. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that this move of the Delhi government has decided to help the poor families and auto-taxi drivers who are struggling with the financial crisis during the lockdown, so that they get relief.
Especially for those who earn daily by daily living, eat daily. It becomes difficult for such people to run their own house. Last week, we had announced to put 5-5 thousand rupees especially in the account of laborers. 5-5 thousand rupees have also been deposited in his account.
Apart from this, those people who are sick and whose RT-PCR report is coming positive, we had announced a separate help for those laborers as well. Kejriwal said that the Delhi government had also helped auto-taxi drivers by giving 5-5 thousand rupees last year.
Lockdown will not be held in Delhi for two months
Kejriwal said that giving free ration for two months does not mean that the lockdown in Delhi will also last two months. The lockdown will be terminated as soon as the corona cases are reduced. Kejriwal said that this is the time to help each other and be a good person. I appeal that all party and caste-religion people help each other. We can help people get hospitalized, get oxygen and beds, feed the sick and poor people.
Lockdown required to break Corona’s chain
Kejriwal said a lockdown was necessary to reduce Corona’s case and break its chain. He held a digital press conference today and said that we have put a lockdown in Delhi to deal with Corona. We all know that lockdown creates huge economic crisis especially for poor people.
