The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has demanded that the Indian contingent returning from the Tokyo Olympics should be allowed to enter the country without a corona test report. IOA President Narinder Batra has written a letter to Sports Secretary Ravi Mittal saying that he has an Olympic accreditation card. On the basis of this card, Japan has given entry to Indian players in their country. Corona testing of players is being done daily in the sports village. Therefore, there is no need for the test on coming to India. In fact, in view of the corona epidemic, the Government of India has made RT-PCR test necessary for those coming from abroad.
Allowed to catch flight from Japan without Kovid test
He said, ‘We appeal to the Government of India to send a letter to the Government of Japan, in which it is written that the Indian team should be allowed to fly from Japan to India without a Kovid test. Also, entry should be given in India without waiting for the test.
Very difficult to get RT-PCR test done in Tokyo
The IOA chief says that it is very difficult to get RT-PCR test done in Tokyo outside the sports village. The paperwork here is perfect but there is a lot of confusion in practice. All the team members, officials and delegates have a Seliva Test every day in the game village.
