He was the President of the US for just two years, 10 months and two days. But he is still one of America’s most popular presidents. Became president of the country at the age of just 43 years. He is second in the list of America’s youngest presidents. We are talking about John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of America. He was assassinated in 1963 in Dallas, Texas, USA, on the day he was on his way to an open car. The former Marine who shot Kennedy was Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald was arrested by the police, but two days later, a Kennedy supporter also killed Oswald. This incident created panic with America.

Born in Brooklyn, US on May 29, 1917, Kennedy was the second of nine children of his parents. His father was one of the most successful people in America. His business spanned from the film industry to the stock market, from shipbuilding to banking. In 1938, Kennedy’s father went to Britain as an American ambassador, then 21 years old Kennedy went there as his secretary.

He joined the Navy in 1941 after completing his studies from Harvard University. At that time the second world war was going on. His elder brother died during the war. Kennedy himself survived the war. He entered politics after leaving the Navy in 1945. After the elder brother’s death, the family’s political legacy came to Kennedy. Kennedy, who won his first election in 1946, never lost an election in life.

Diana Hayden became Miss World of India in 1997
On this day, Diana Hayden of India won the title of Miss World. He was born in Hyderabad and attended the UK’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Diana was the third Indian woman to become Miss World. Prior to this, Rita Faria won the title in 1966 and Aishwarya Rai in 1994. Three more Indian women have become Miss World after Diana. Yukta Mukhi in 1999, Priyanka Chopra in 2000 and Manushi Chhillar of Haryana in 2017 won the title.
