The Kejriwal government will hold a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) at 12 noon today regarding the increasing cases of influenza. In which CM Arvind Kejriwal will be present. In this meeting, planning will be done to deal with the cases of H3N2 and to control it.
Let us tell you that when CM Kejriwal was asked about the spread of this virus at Delhi’s Bhalswa landfill site on Thursday, he said that we are monitoring the situation. Will discuss it in detail in the DDMA meeting. According to the information, earlier this meeting was to be held on Thursday, but it was postponed till Saturday.
On Friday, the Health Minister talked about getting the screen done
Earlier, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj had talked about getting the screening done during the press conference on Friday. However, wearing of masks was not made mandatory. He advised children below 5 years of age and elders above 65 years to be more careful.
This virus has spread in many states of India
Patients of H3N2 virus have been found in many states of the country including Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra. Till Thursday, 10 people have died in the country due to this virus. Maharashtra has been affected the most by this. A total of 352 cases of swine flu and H3N2 have been reported here till Thursday. Of these, there are 58 patients suffering from H3N2.
H3N2 virus found in 79% of influenza samples
The Union Health Ministry has reported that H3N2 virus has been found in about 79% of the influenza samples tested in the lab. After this, influenza B Victoria virus has been found in 14% of the samples and influenza A H1N1 virus has been found in 7%. H1N1 is also called swine flu in common language. The ministry says that the cases of H3N2 virus will start decreasing from March end.
