In Rajasthan, the agreement between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former deputy CM Sachin Pilot last year after the revolt seems to be cracking again. The rallies organized by the Congress in Rajasthan have again brought the mess going on within the party. Following the guidelines of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, rallies started in Rajasthan in support of farmers.
Rahul Gandhi himself has held rallies in Rajasthan on 12-13 February. After this, Sachin Pilot held a huge rally near Jaipur on Friday. But no leader of Chief Minister Gehlot’s faction was present there. However, 17 leaders appeared with the pilot in this rally, who raised the rebellion flag with him last year.
A day later, the Congress unit held a big rally in Jaipur city, in which Pilot’s close leaders did not attend. This has led to speculation again that the two groups are moving in different directions. Showing strength in rallies from both sides and gathering more crowds is seen as a step to strengthen their political credibility.
When Pilot was asked if it was parallel politics, he clarified that there is nothing like this and it is the program of the party. It has been decided that we will hold rallies in support of all farmers. The organizer of the rally and Congress MLA from Chaksu, Ved Prakash Solanki said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and State President Govind Singh Dotsara were invited. Solanki said that he tried to meet the chief minister, but was not given time for 8 days.
