Terrorist Harvinder Rinda, who fled to Pakistan via Nepal 5 years ago from India, started narco-terrorism in India from across the border. Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI supported him in this. Rinda was born in Tarn Taran, a border district of Punjab, so she had a good knowledge of this entire area. Rinda, who was associated with the world of crime, set up different modules in the border area and through them started supplying arms and drugs through drones from across the border.

Rinda entered the crime world at the age of just 18 by killing her own relative. Born in Punjab’s border district of Tarn Taran, Rinda’s family left Punjab and shifted to Nanded Sahib in Maharashtra when he was 11 years old. The reason was a dispute with relatives. Rinda remained in Nanded for the next 7 years. However, during this time his family members kept coming and going to Punjab.

Rinda returned to Punjab when he was 18 and killed his own relative in a family property dispute. After this he fled to Nanded and got involved in extortion and smuggling there. The Maharashtra police clamped down on Rinda when his name cropped up in several incidents.

NIA had announced a reward of 10 lakhs on Harvinder Singh Rinda.

Maharashtra Police reached Chandigarh when pressure increased

In the year 2016, two cases were registered against Harvinder Rinda in Nanded. After this he absconded from Nanded. The Maharashtra Police declared him a proclaimed offender. When the pressure of the Maharashtra Police increased, Harvinder Rinda crossed over from there and came to Punjab. In Punjab, he chose Chandigarh as his base and became active in Punjab University (PU) as soon as he reached there.

Contact with gangsters made while in PU

After reaching Chandigarh, Rinda opened fire on the leaders of his rival faction during the Panjab University (PU) student union elections to create fear among the opponents. It was during his stay in PU that Rinda came in contact with gangster Dilpreet Singh Baba, Harjinder Singh alias Akash and other gangsters. After this Rinda along with these people started extortion collection and contract killing in Punjab as in Maharashtra. In Chandigarh even today, 4 cases are registered against Rinda under murder, attempt to murder and Arms Act. In these he is still wanted by the police.

Bangalore In police Of Hand From Out Gone

Within a year of reaching Punjab, Rinda’s spirits increased so much that while studying in PU, she threatened to kill a SHO there. When the police started cracking down, Rinda fled from Chandigarh. In the year 2017, Punjab Police got input that Rinda was staying in a hotel in Bengaluru with his wife. Based on this input, the Punjab Police raided the hotel and Rinda fled from the window of the room. The police arrested Rinda’s wife from the hotel.

Attack on Parmish Verma

It was Harvinder Rinda who got Punjabi singer Parmish Verma attacked near Mohali in April 2018. This attack was done by Rinda’s fellow gangster Dilpreet Singh Baba who was later caught from Chandigarh. Rinda demanded money from Parmish Verma and when Parmish refused, she got Dilpreet Singh Baba attacked. However, Rinda and Dilpreet Singh Baba parted ways after this incident. Many cases are registered against Rinda not only in Chandigarh but also in Haryana-Punjab.

Reached Pakistan and handled the work of BKI

After escaping the hands of the Punjab Police in Bengaluru, Rinda found it difficult for him to hide anywhere in India. For this reason, he contacted Khalistan supporters sitting in Pakistan and fled to Pakistan via Nepal. After reaching there, he started working as the India head of the Khalistani organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). His main work there was to supply arms and drugs in India.

Hand in attack on Punjab Intelligence Headquarters
Rinda’s name figured in all the major incidents that took place in Punjab in the last few years. It was Rinda who had sent RDX from Pakistan for the bomb blast in Ludhiana court last year. In the same year, Rinda was also behind the RPG attack on the headquarters of the Intelligence Wing of the Punjab Police in Mohali.

Sidhu Moosewala’s name also came in the murder

Active gangsters and terrorists in India used to resort to Rinda for weapons. Gangster Lawrence’s accomplice Goldie Brar, sitting in Canada, had also sent weapons to his shooters through Rinda from Pakistan for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala.

Red corner notice has also been issued

India’s intelligence agencies had been trying for a long time to catch Rinda. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had declared the name of Rs 10 lakh on Rinda. Recently, a Red Corner notice was also issued against him through Interpol.

Narco-terrorism Rinda’s contribution

Before fleeing to Pakistan, Rinda used to run a network of drug smuggling in Punjab. Due to this, most of the smugglers and gangsters present here were in contact with him. After reaching Pakistan, Rinda started narco terrorism using all these old contacts. When the strictness on the border increased, he started supplying arms and heroin to the smugglers through drones.
