The new model of the WagerR, the 2023 Suzuki WagonR facelift has been introduced in Japan. The design of the new model has been updated. The look of the new WagonR looks sporty, along with many hi-tech features have also been added. The model introduced in Japan is completely different from the WagonR present in India. The current model of WagerR is ruling the hearts of people in India. It has been at the top of the best-selling list for the last month in a row. WagonR sold 22,588 units in July 2022.

The 2023 Suzuki WagonR facelift will be available in Japan in the price range of yen 1,217,700 to yen 1,509,200 (Rs 7.22 lakh to Rs 8.96 lakh). While the WagonR Stingray has been offered for yen 1,688,500 to yen 1,811,700 (Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10.75 lakh). The WagonR Custom Z model is priced between yen 1,474,000 to 1,756,700 yen (Rs 8.75 lakh to Rs 10.43 lakh).

2023 WagonR Variants
The new 2023 Suzuki WagonR has been launched in three different models WagonR, WagonR Custom Z and Stingray. The Stingray gets a brand new LED projector headlamp setup that gives it a more futuristic stance. The taillamps have also been placed much lower than the standard version, giving it an MPV-like design. The standard WagonR still gets standard halogen headlamps.

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR sports a boxy design look like all the previous versions. However, the new 2023 WagonR brings design changes to the grille as well as extras in the tailgate. The Stingray gets an aggressive stance while the custom Z WagonR and WagonR look simple. The rear and side profiles are almost identical in all three.

2023 WagonR Interior
The interior is the same as the current version. The WagonR gets beige interiors while the Custom Z and Stingray get all-black interiors. The two variants use piano black and faux-wood to enhance the look and feel of the cabin. The infotainment screen is similar to the 9-inch unit launched in new Maruti Suzuki cars such as the Baleno and Brezza. In terms of safety and service, the Stingray gets features like HUD, ADAS, 360-degree parking.

The Japan-spec WagonR is powered by a 660cc motor that is offered in both the NA petrol and mild-hybrid configurations. The turbo version of this engine is available with the Stingray and Custom Z. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and CVT. Both 2WD and 4WD variants are on offer. The mild-hybrid powertrain mated to a CVT gearbox gives a mileage of 25.2 kmpl.

Launching in India by next year
Maruti Suzuki WagonR 2023 is expected to be launched in India towards the end of next year. There will be changes in the model that will be launched in India. And changes can also be seen in the feature list. The global variant also offers all wheel drive (AWD), which may not be available on the Indian version of the car.
