Telecom regulator TRAI has released the data of mobile subscribers for Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh. Telecom regulator TRAI releases the data of active mobile customers i.e. Visitor Location Register (VLR) based customers every month. These are the customers who actively use the mobile phone network. According to TRAI data, there are a total of 6.9 crore active mobile subscribers in Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh circle in February 2022. A total of 24 lakh new active customers have been added to the circle in February 2022.
Jio captures 50.4% of the market
In terms of market share, Jio has captured 50.4% market in Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh circle. Whereas Vodafone Idea holds 24.2%, Airtel 21.4 and BSNL 4%.
Jio adds 24.3 lakh active customers
According to the data released by TRAI, in February 2022, Jio added 24.3 lakh active customers in Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh circle. The number of active customers of Jio in the circle has reached 3.48 crores. In February, Airtel’s 30 thousand active mobile customers have come down to 1.47 crore. Vodafone Idea’s 1 lakh active customers have also come down to 1.66 crore. At the same time, 92 thousand active mobile customers of BSNL has increased to a total of 27.9 lakh customers in February.
Broadband subscribers in MP-CG cross 10 lakhs
The number of wireline broadband subscribers in Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh has crossed 10 lakhs. There are a total of 10.12 lakh wireline broadband customers in the circle. Reliance Jio has now overtaken Airtel in broadband and wireline connections. Jio has reached the first place in MP-CG in terms of wireline broadband connection.
In February, Jio added 17.6 thousand Jio Fiber connections. Jio has a total of 3.51 lakh fiber subscribers. Airtel ranks second with 3.50 lakh customers by adding 5.3 thousand customers
