IPS Hemant Lohia was killed during Amit Shah’s visit in Jammu and Kashmir. The body of DG Jail Hemant was found lying in his own house late on Monday night. Police say that preliminary investigation has revealed that Hemant was murdered by slitting his throat. After the murder, the accused also tried to burn his dead body. At present, the police has sent the body for post-mortem.
Police found dead body on servant
Since this incident, his servant is absconding, so the police is suspecting him of murder. Job search has been started. DG Jail Hemant Lohia lived in Udayawada on the outskirts of Jammu. He was a 1999 batch IPS officer. In August this year, he was posted as DG Jail. No information has been revealed about why he was murdered.
There was firing on the bank manager in the afternoon
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is in Jammu and Kashmir on a 2-day visit. That’s why the police officers are seen proactive in investigating the incident. Earlier on Monday afternoon, some terrorists attacked a bank manager in Baramulla. The terrorists opened fire on the bank manager, but the bank manager somehow survived the attack.
