Senior Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mandal called the BJP the ‘biggest virus in Bengal’, while BJP state president Dilip Ghosh hit back saying that the days of ruling party in the state are now counting. At a function on Saturday, the president of the Trinamool Congress’s Birbhum unit said that Ghosh would “meet my booth-level workers and join the ruling party”, to which the BJP leader said he would keep Mandal’s anger under control.
Mandal had said, “I request his (BJP) state president Dilip Ghosh to come to our district and meet my booth level workers. I am inviting him to join the Trinamool Congress. ”
When asked about this, Ghosh told reporters here that the Trinamool Congress leader has made a lot of noise earlier and this statement is incompatible with his earlier statements.
He said, “Anusabrata Mandal has been making such statements for a long time. But angry …. the noise level is now seen to decrease. I think that with the assembly elections nearing, the connection of the audio speaker (voice of Anabhabrata) will slowly be over. We will keep doing this.
Ghosh said that the BJP wants to free the people of Birbhum from the terror of the people of Mandal and Birbhum has ‘become a bomb making center’ at this time.
