Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav celebrated Holi in Patna on Wednesday in the style of his father and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad is recuperating in Delhi after kidney transplant. But Tej Pratap, who was present in Patna, made a video call to his father and turned the phone screen towards the people. Lalu said to him, “Wish you a very Happy Holi. I am not well, so you are far away but my best wishes are always with you. Let me recover, then we will celebrate Holi with a bang.”
Tej Pratap welcomed the visitors by wearing ‘Mor Mukut’ (a crown decorated with peacock feathers). He describes himself as a devotee of Lord Krishna.
On this occasion, some women dressed as Krishna’s ‘Gopis’ performed ‘Lath Maar’ Holi. This type of Holi is celebrated in Barsana near Mathura.
Tej Pratap along with his supporters also played ‘Kurta Phad’ Holi like the RJD President.
One of his supporters said, “We are thankful to Teju Bhaiya for organizing this function on the occasion of this festival of colours. There can be no one like Lalu ji, but Teju Bhaiya keeps trying his best to keep the legacy alive.
