Tata Group’s unit Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL) reported a 25.63 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 364.43 crore in the December quarter of the current financial year (2022-23). TCPL gave this information in the information sent to the stock markets on Thursday. The company had earned a net profit of Rs 290.07 crore in the third quarter of the last financial year. TCPL was earlier known as Tata Global Beverages Limited. TCPL’s operating income increased by 8.29 percent to Rs 3,474.55 crore in the quarter under review. It was Rs 3,208.38 crore in the same period last year.
During this, its total expenditure also increased by 10.13 percent to Rs 3,119.73 crore. It was Rs 2,832.68 crore in the October-December quarter of the last financial year.
TCPL said in its financial statement, “The company’s profit before tax in the last December quarter stood at Rs 482 crore. This is 25 percent more than the same quarter last year. The company has benefited from the strong growth in the domestic business.
Sunil D’Souza, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), TCPL, said, “In the December quarter, we delivered a strong performance balancing revenue growth and margins in a very challenging macroeconomic environment.”
