A sealed packet was received by the police on Thursday in Samba district of Jammu. Explosives, weapons and a huge amount of cash have been recovered in it. Police suspect that Pakistani drones have dropped these packets.
Samba SSP Abhishek Mahajan said that this explosive substance was dropped to execute some major incident. Our team has foiled this conspiracy of terrorists.
A sealed packet has been found in a field at some distance from Savankha turn of Vijaypur.
Chinese pistol and 5 lakh cash recovered
The SSP further said that at around 6 am a person informed us that a sealed packet was found at some distance from Savankha Mor in Vijaypur. After information, our team reached the spot. Rs 5 lakh, 2 Chinese pistols, 4 magazines, a steel Improvised Explosive Device (IED) have been recovered from the packet.
After getting the IED and cash, the army has started a search operation in the area.
2 Lashkar terrorists arrested 2 days ago
Police and security forces busted a Lashkar terror module on 22 November. Two active Lashkar terrorists and two associates including a woman were arrested in Bandipora. Incriminating material, a large quantity of arms and ammunition, IED preparation material were recovered from them.
