Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Sunday assured the BJP’s victory in the by-elections in Sira and Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly seats. These seats are to be held on November 3.
Yeddyurappa told reporters here, “We are 100 percent confident of the victory of BJP candidates. Our only concern is how to increase the margin of victory.” He said that his son and BJP state vice-president BY Vijayendra have been camping in Sira for three days and are leading the election campaign there.
In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP candidates had to face defeat in both the seats. Regarding the state of rain in the state, the Chief Minister said that the people of Malanad region are expecting a good crop due to adequate rains, while the standing crop has been damaged due to rain and floods in North Karnataka.
Yeddyurappa said that the work of distribution of compensation has been started in the affected areas.
