Stock Market Today: In yesterday’s trade, the Sensex closed at 59,708.08 with a gain of 158.18 points (0.27%).

Stock Market Opening: Today i.e. on February 2, trading in the stock market started with a decline. On Thursday, both the benchmark indices of the stock market Sensex and Nifty are trading in losses. Today, the 30-share major benchmark index BSE Sensex opened at a level of 59,459.87, falling 248.18 points. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange ie NSE opened with a decline at the level of 17,517.10.

In yesterday’s trade, the Sensex closed at 59,708.08 with a gain of 158.18 points (0.27%). While the Nifty closed at the level of 17616, reaching the red mark with a fall of 45 points at the end of trading.

Infosys, ITC, Bajaj Auto, SBI Life Insurance and HCL Technologies are trading with major gains in early trade today. While the shares of HDFC Life, SBI and UPL were seen trading with a decline. At the same time, in the early trade today, about 918 shares gained, 1009 shares declined and 105 shares remained unchanged.

Talking on sectoral basis, today the Nifty IT index is witnessing an increase of more than 1%. Apart from this, the FMCG index is also trading with a slight increase. While bank, pharma, metal and realty stocks are seeing a decline.

On the other hand, if we talk about other markets of Asia, there was a jump in Asian stocks on Thursday. Japan’s Nikkei is trading with a speed of 0.37%. While Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is seeing a rise of about 1%.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) on Wednesday broke a seven-day selling streak and bought Indian equities worth Rs 17.85 billion ($218.38 million) on a net basis. While domestic institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 5.29 billion.
