Strong trend in global markets and buying in Reliance Industries and bank stocks, which have a good share in major indices, led to gains in the market. At the end of today’s trading, the 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 58,074.68 points with a gain of 445.73 points, or 0.77 percent. At one stage during today’s trading, it had climbed up to 504.38 points. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also closed at 17,107.50 points with a gain of 119.10 points, or 0.70 percent.
