The official Twitter account of the Russian vaccine on Sunday stated that the price per dose of the Russian corona virus vaccine Sputnik V would be significantly lower than the vaccines of American drug giants Pfizer and Moderna.
The official Twitter account reads, “Pharma Lingo Translation: Pfizer has been announced at 19.50 USD and Modern’s at 25 and 37 USD per dose. In fact their per capita dose is priced at 39 USD and 50-75 USD. Pfizer, Sputnik V and Modern Vaccine require two doses per person. Sputnik V will cost much less. “

On August 11, Russia became the first country to register the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine. Sputnik V was developed by the Gamalay National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare. On November 11, Russia stated that its vaccine Sputnik V was 92 percent effective in protecting people from COVID-19 according to an earlier interim analysis.

On 17 November, Moderna, in its official statement, independently announced that the American NIH-appointed Data Security Monitoring Board (DSMB) for the phase 3 study of mRNA-1273 has informed Modern that the test has studied the efficacy of the study protocol. Has met pre-determined statistical criteria, with a vaccine efficacy of 94.5%.
Similarly, on November 18, Pfizer said that the final results of its final phase trial of the corona virus vaccine were found to be 95 percent effective and did not have any serious side effects on older people.
