Srinagar / New Delhi. Western disturbance has passed from Kashmir. Now the next western disturbance from Afghanistan may come in the first week of December. This could lead to the next snowfall in the hilly states including Kashmir. At present, due to the winds coming from the mountains, the temperature in Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan will fall by 3 to 4 degrees below normal for the next two days.

Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 0.5 degrees on Friday. Kashmir received snowfall three times in the last one month. The reason for these is also western disturbance. This led to snowfall in early November in Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal, Uttarakhand. Whereas, from 15 to 17 November, snowfall occurred in low altitude areas and till 24 November in areas of Kashmir, which are less than 2 thousand meters above sea level. In general, these areas experience snowfall in December.

Srinagar-Leh highway closed for the fifth consecutive day

The 434 km long highway remained closed for the fifth consecutive day due to heavy snowfall at Zojila Pass, Sonmarg, Zero Point, Meenmarg and Dras. The Border Roads Organization has removed snow from Kargil to Zero Point.

Heavy snowfall in Manali, tourists arrived

Shimla. Shimla and Manali tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh have received heavy snowfall. Usually, tourists used to visit Shimla and Manali in Himachal Pradesh in large numbers from all over the country. People have also reached this time, but the number is still small.

Ambikapur coldest in Chhattisgarh

Changes were witnessed in most areas of the state, drizzling occurred at many places. The temperature dropped in Bilaspur and Surguja. Ambikapur recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 12.8 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature at 25 degrees Celsius. Light rain occurred in some areas of Bilaspur. There is also a possibility of drizzle in the next one or two days.
