The Delhi Police has arrested 2 vicious snoopers, who had recently carried out a brawl with a woman journalist and wife of a former DGP. According to DCP RP Meena of South East Delhi, on November 20, a female journalist working in an English news paper near Moolchand metro station had snatched a gold chain bike riding a diamond locket by 2 miscreants. A case was registered at Amar Colony police station and during the investigation, footage of more than 50 CCTV cameras was seen.

Whose 2 suspicious boys were seen riding a bike, the number of the bike revealed that the bike belongs to Gufran, who lives in Amethi, UP. After investigation, Gufran was arrested from Tughlakabad and his bike was also recovered.

A gold chain was found on Gufran’s spot, but it was not a woman journalist. After this, the police arrested Gufran’s partner Alok Ranjan and recovered 2 mobiles from him. During interrogation, the accused told that even 10 days ago they had snatched a gold chain from a woman in Lajpat Nagar.


According to the police, the woman is the wife of a former DGP. The accused told that they have sold the gold chain of the woman journalist to Vishwanath Das, who lives in East of Kailash.

The police also arrested Vishwanath. He told that he buys a chain of looted and snapped gold from miscreants at a cheap rate and then melts the gold with a person named Tapan Vishwas in Chandni Chowk, then sells it further. Police have recovered the diamond locket and molten gold chain of the woman journalist.
