The fourth match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore from 7:30 pm on Monday. The match will be played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai Indians won their first match against Gujarat. On the other hand, Smriti Mandhana’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore had to start with a defeat.
Mumbai’s all-round performance
Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Giants by a huge margin of 143 runs. Left arm spinner Saika Ishaq and captain Harmanpreet Kaur performed well in this win on Saturday. Ishaq took 4 wickets in 3.1 overs while captain Harmanpreet Kaur registered her first fifty of the league. He played a fiery inning of 65 runs with the help of 14 fours at a strike rate of 216.66.
The team is very balanced. All foreign players are world class. Amelia Kerr, Natalie Sciver and Heather Graham can change any game. India’s Pooja Vastrakar is the best among all-rounders.

RCB will have to find balance
Royal Challengers Bangalore lost by 60 runs in the first match against Delhi on Sunday. Bangalore’s bowling was disappointing. Delhi had scored 223 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Bengaluru could only manage 163 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
The team neither took wickets on time nor could score enough runs. Chasing a target of 224 runs, none of the batters could do much for Bengaluru except Smriti Mandhana, Heather Knight, Meagan Shutt and Ellyse Perry. Captain Smriti Mandhana scored the most (35) runs. There is a lack of balance in the team. It has to be fixed.
