Bhopal. There is no visible panic in the BJP camp in Madhya Pradesh regarding the Cabinet. After the news of the caretaker Governor Anandiben Patel taking oath today and his stay in Bhopal on Wednesday night, the cabinet swearing-in ceremony is being speculated once again on Thursday. According to highly placed sources associated with the BJP, state in-charge of the party Vinay Sahastrabuddhe is coming to Bhopal in the afternoon with a new formula for cabinet formation.
Sources say that with the inclusion of new faces in the cabinet, senior MLAs will also be accommodated under this formula. Sahastrabuddhe can call senior legislators for a one-to-one discussion at the party office. Even after this, if there is no consensus, then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan can once again go to Delhi at night. Sahastrabuddhe can also attend the swearing-in ceremony of Acting Governor Anandiben Patel.
Deputy Chief Minister and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly
BJP sources say that the issue that is not being resolved with the selection of ministers is that of the appointment of the Speaker and Deputy Chief Minister. Shivraj Singh wants the former Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava to be the Speaker of the Assembly, but the agreement is not being reached. If Bhargava was made a minister, then Sitasaran Sharma could be re-elected as Speaker.
Confusion over two chief ministers too
Even after the appointment of two deputy chief ministers, there has been no coordination between the power and the organization. Party sources say that the High Command has given the state leadership the option of making Cabinet Minister Tulsi Silavat and Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra as Deputy Chief Ministers from the Scindia camp, but both the issues could not be agreed.
Scindia not in a mood to quit
Party sources say that Scindia is not in favor of reducing any of the posts he had asked to make his supporters ministers. Apart from this, Bisahulal Singh, Andal Singh Kansana, Hardeep Dung and Ranveer Jatav, who have come to the BJP from the Congress, have also given the assurance to make them party ministers. The same has been done with independents Pradeep Jaiswal and BSP's Sanjeev Kushwaha. Therefore the size of the cabinet may increase further. Late in the evening, there was a talk between the Chief Minister, the State President and the Organization General Secretary for about an hour in the party office.
