Two days ago, in the meeting of Congress MPs, there was a lot of argument and criticism from the young leaders. Young party leaders have blamed the last Congress government for the decline in popularity of the Congress. Also, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is targeting. Senior leaders of the party have come out against this campaign being run on Twitter by the youth wing of Congress.
Former Mumbai Congress President Milind Deora along with MPs Anand Sharma, Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tiwari have come to the rescue of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. These leaders have called Singh's criticism unaware of the facts and part of the malicious story. All these leaders have been ministers in Manmohan Singh's cabinet.
I agree with @ManishTewari & @milinddeora. UPA's transformative ten years were distorted & traduced by a motivated & malicious narrative. There's plenty to learn from our defeats & much to be done to revive @INCIndia. But not by playing into the hands of our ideological enemies. https://t.co/Ui6WUlBl3F

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said, "I agree with Manish Tiwari and Milinda Deora. The UPA's 10-year transformative tenure is being proven and maligned in a sponsored manner. We have a lot to learn from defeat and Congress Much more needs to be done to make it stand up again. " Tharoor said this while retweeting Milind Devra's tweet.
Well said, Manish.
When demitting office in 2014, Dr Manmohan Singh said, "history will be kinder to me".
Could he have ever imagined that some from his own party would dismiss his years of service to the nation & seek to destroy his legacy – that, too, in his presence? https://t.co/HQyihXkFvk

Earlier, Milind Devra retweeted Manish Tiwari's tweet, writing, "Rightly Manish. When Manmohan Singh left the post in 2014, he said that history will be more kind to me." He said that we never thought that some people of his own party would reject his years of service to the country and damage his image, that too during his stay.
BJP was out of power for 10 yrs 2004-14. Not once did they ever blame Vajpayee or his Govt for their then predicaments
In @INCIndia unfortunatly some ill -informed ‘s would rather take swipes at Dr. Manmohan Singh led UPA govt than fight NDA / BJP.
When unity reqd they divide.
– Manish Tewari (@ManishTewari) August 1, 2020
Earlier, Congress MP Manish Tiwari said, "BJP stayed away from power till 2004-2014. Not once has he blamed Vajpayee or his government for its decaying condition. Unfortunately, the Congress has little knowledge of facts. People are targeting the UPA government led by Dr. Manmohan Singh instead of fighting the NDA and BJP. "
UPA Government led the country with a sense of purpose and a commitment to the common man. India witnessed unprecedented social and economic transformation and empowerment of the poor and vulnerable Indians. (1/11)

Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma and former Union Minister Anand Sharma made several tweets about Manmohan Singh government and Sonia Gandhi. He wrote – "The commendable contribution of Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA President Sonia Gandhi will be recorded in history. Both leaders have brought India to a decade of inclusive development, which we are all proud of."
He wrote, "Every Congressman should be proud of the legacy of the UPA. No party rejects or insults his legacy. Nobody expects that the BJP will show its heart and give us credit, but our own people will get their The heritage should be respected and not forgotten.
