Huge ups and downs were seen in the stock market today. While there was a boom in the stock market in the morning, the stock market started falling after noon. Sensex saw a decline of more than 1000 points today, while Nifty also saw a maximum decline of 164 points. In the evening, the Sensex improved marginally and fell by 897 points. 58,237 But closed. At the same time, the Nifty also closed 258 points down at 17,154 with slight improvement.

In the Nifty 50, only 4 stocks closed with gains, while 45 closed in the red and one stock remained unchanged. In Sensex, only Tech Mahindra closed with gains, while other important stocks closed with red mark.
Earlier in the morning, domestic stock markets opened strongly on Monday amid mixed trend in global markets and positive investor sentiment. In the early trade, the Sensex climbed nearly 345 points, while the Nifty also had a strong rise. During this period, the BSE Sensex rose 344.92 points or 0.58 percent to reach 59,480.05 points. The NSE Nifty was up 108.05 points, or 0.62 per cent, at 17,520.95. Based on 30 stocks, 20 Sensex stocks were trading in profit.
Earlier, Sensex and Nifty had declined in two consecutive sessions.
Despite the bankruptcy of Silicon Valley Bank, investor sentiment remains strong on expectations that the US central bank will not hike rates by much. An increase in industrial production in January also boosted sentiments.
On Monday, most of the Asian markets were trading in profit. American and European markets closed with losses on Friday.
