Today i.e. on Thursday (March 23), the stock market is witnessing a decline. The Sensex fell 153 points to open at 58,061. At the same time, Nifty has also started with a decline of 54 points. It opened at 17,097 level. During the opening trade, 20 out of 30 Sensex stocks declined and only 10 gained.
Adani Enterprises share 0.70% fell
Today at 9:30 am, out of 10 stocks of Adani Group, 5 are seeing a rise and 5 are declining. The stock of Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of Adani Group, is trading down by 0.70%, while the shares of Adani Green Energy and Total Gas are up by 5-5%.
American and Asian stock market decline
America’s Central Bank Fed has increased interest rates by 25 basis points. The effect of increasing interest rates has also been seen on the stock market. The Dow Jones has dropped more than 500 points. Asian markets are also under pressure in the morning. SGX Nifty is also trading down.
FII bought
On March 22, Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) bought Rs 61.72 crore in Indian markets. Domestic institutional investors also bought Rs 383.51 crore on the day. With this, the total FII buying this month has been Rs 2,469 crore. While the purchase of DIIs has been a total of Rs 21,369 crore.
Market boom on Wednesday
Earlier, on Wednesday i.e. March 22, there was a boom in the stock market for the third consecutive day. The Sensex climbed 139 points to close at 58,214. At the same time Nifty also climbed 44 points. It had closed at the level of 17,151. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 were up and only 9 were down.
