Lawyer Seema Kushwaha, who got the death sentence awarded to the accused in Delhi’s Nirbhaya case, has joined the Bahujan Samaj Party. Just before the UP assembly elections, party general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra got Seema the membership of the party.
Seema, a resident of Lakhna village in Etawah, started practicing law from Kanpur along with law studies. Due to poor conditions in Kanpur, she moved to Delhi and completed her law studies from Delhi University.
The Nirbhaya gang rape case was the first court case of Seema’s career. She got success in this and she also came in the discussion. Since then, Seema has been fighting for justice for many rape victims. Even after joining politics, she has made it clear that she will continue to fight the cases of rape victims.
Why only BSP for politics?
After joining BSP, Seema said that I will be asked why I joined this party, then my answer will be that a daughter struggles to become the Chief Minister of UP 4 times. He raised his flag not only in the country but also at the international level. During the tenure of BSP, Mayawati showed how the constitution made by Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar is followed.
Daughters were safe in BSP government
Seema said- I got the death sentence given to the poor of the Nirbhaya case in Delhi. The brutality of a daughter in Delhi shows that there is a complete failure of law-and-order. Daughters in UP felt safe under Mayawati’s government. If Mayawati becomes the CM of UP for the fifth time, then the security of daughters will be ensured in the state.
UP elections will be challenging for BSP
The date of assembly elections in UP is near. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that the threat of Mayawati’s party BSP is slowing down in front of the BJP and Akhilesh’s Samajwadi Party. In the last assembly elections, where BJP was elected as the ruling party, on the other hand, SP is playing an important role of opposition in the state. In such a situation, the activity of BSP is very less as compared to BJP and SP.
