Israel’s ambassador to India, Naor Gillon, is receiving threats to leave the country amid the ongoing controversy over the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. He shared a screenshot of a message on Twitter on Saturday. In which it was written- ‘Hitler was great that he burnt scum like you. Leave India immediately, Hitler was a great man.’ He told that this message has been sent to him on Twitter. Keeping in mind the security of the sender of the message, I am hiding his identity, his profile says PhD holder.
Anti-Semitism still exists today: gillon
Indians have supported the Israeli ambassador on this post. Gillon thanked the people of India in another tweet. He told that he is getting a lot of support from India on the last post, it makes me feel very good. The purpose of sharing that message was only to tell that even today anti-Jewish sentiments are present in people. We need to oppose this together.

This message has come in the midst of a controversy that started after he called the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ obscene. Israeli Ambassador Nadav Lepid at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa described ‘The Kashmir Files’ as a propaganda and obscene film. After this, his statement was severely criticized.
However, Gillon apologized to India by writing an open letter on Twitter. He also reprimanded Lapid for this statement. Gillon said- I am ashamed and apologize for Lapid’s statement in return for India’s hospitality and friendship. Lapid’s statement is insensitive and full of pride, shame on you. Let us inform that filmmaker Nadav Lapid was on the jury of the film festival.
Veteran actors like Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi have worked in the film.
The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was based on the killings and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir Valley in the year 1990. Which was released on 11 March 2022. In this, stars like Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty have played lead roles. The Kashmir Files did good business. It earned more than Rs 290 crore at the box office.
The BJP leaders had praised the Kashmir files a lot. It was made tax free in many states of the country.
PM Modi praised the film
Prime Minister Modi had praised the film in the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting. He had said that such films should continue to be made. The truth is revealed through them. Efforts have been made to suppress the truth of Kashmir which is shown in the film. Everyone talks about freedom of speech. A big incident like Emergency happened in this country, but no film was made on it. Because there was no continuous effort to tell the truth.
