Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is all set to launch its next generation Verna today (Tuesday, March 21) in the mid-size sedan segment in India. The launch event will start at 12 noon. The company will reveal its price and variant today. However, it is expected that the ex-showroom price of the new generation Verna variants can range from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 18 lakh. Buyers can book the car by paying a token money of Rs 25,000.

The new Verna will get the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. With this, a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox can be found. Apart from this, a new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine option will also be given with the car, which will be capable of generating 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque.

Talking about transmission, the option of 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox can be found in it. It will get three driving modes like Eco, Normal and Sport.
