Hospitality chain OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal’s father has died after falling from the 20th floor of a multistorey building in Gurgaon. Ritesh’s father’s name was Ramesh Agarwal. He had fallen from the balcony of his house. His son Ritesh Aggarwal, daughter-in-law and his wife were also present inside the house at the time of the accident.

Ritesh himself informed about the death of his father. Ritesh Agarwal and Geetansha Sood, director of Formation Ventures got married three days ago. Celebrities associated with many big financial institutions including SoftBank were involved in that ceremony.

Ramesh Agarwal fell from the 20th floor
According to reports, Ramesh Agarwal was seriously injured after falling from the 20th floor. The DCP of East Gurgaon said that they got information about the incident at around 1 pm. When the police team reached the spot, it was found that Ramesh Agarwal had died due to falling from the 20th floor. He lived in DLF Christa Society. After the post-mortem, his body has been handed over to the family.

Ritesh said – Respect our privacy
Ritesh Agarwal said, ‘With a heavy heart my family and I want to share that our mentor my father Ramesh Agarwal has passed away on 10th March. He lived a full life and inspired us all.

‘His death is a great loss to our family. My father’s compassion and warmth supported us through our toughest times and carried us forward. His words will always be in our hearts. We request everyone to respect our privacy in this hour of grief.

Ritesh was married on March 7
Ritesh Agarwal was married to Geetansha on 7 March. Masayoshi Son, founder of SoftBank Group, also attended his reception. Aggarwal and his wife Geet took blessings by touching the feet of Sun. Since 2015, the 29-year-old has been Agarwal’s mentor. Sun, an early investor in Oyo, had in 2019 provided Agarwal with a personal guarantee for a $2 billion loan from Japanese banks. Ritesh had given marriage invitation to PM Modi
Ritesh Agarwal had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his wedding. He had also come to meet the PM to invite him for the wedding. Ritesh shared the pictures of this meeting on Instagram.
