The central government has announced 10% reservation in BSF for retired Agniveers. Along with this, relaxation has also been given in the upper age limit. This relaxation will depend on whether Agniveer is part of the first batch or subsequent batches. Not only this, these people will not even have to give physical test. This announcement has been made after the amendment in BSF General Duty Cadre Recruitment Rules 2015.
Gazette notification issued
The Center had issued this notification on 6 March. According to this, the candidates of the first batch of Agniveers for the post of Constable will get a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit. While the candidates of all subsequent batches will be given a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.
Army took this decision to reduce the crowd in the rally
Earlier, the Indian Army had changed the recruitment process of Agniveer. Candidates will have to appear in the written test first. Candidates will join the rally only after passing the exam. The last step of recruitment will be Medical Test. Army has taken this decision to reduce the crowd in this recruitment rally.
Till now the rally was organized first in the recruitment process. After that there was a medical test of the candidates selected from the rally. Then there used to be that exam. At the same time, after this change, the candidates will get time to prepare for the second exam as well.
