The tourist stranded in Sikkim saluted and thanked the army for its help.
The army rescued 370 tourists stranded in Sikkim on Sunday. All of them were returning to Gangtok from Nathu La and Tsomgo Lake. They were stuck due to heavy snowfall on Saturday evening. Army and police had reached to help them. The Army, with the help of the local administration and police, rescued everyone by running Operation Him Rahat.
The Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army provided accommodation, medical help, warm clothes and food to the stranded tourists.

The stranded tourists were taken by army vehicles and kept in the camp.
There were children along with the tourists. Medicines and warm clothes were also arranged for them.
All the tourists were sent to Gangtok on Sunday morning.
900 tourists were stranded
According to the police, around 900 tourists traveling back to the Sikkim capital from Nathula and Tsomgo lakes were stuck due to heavy snowfall on Saturday evening. The army helped to move 15 vehicles from there in the evening.
Due to heavy snowfall in East Sikkim, the administration has recently stopped issuing passes for Nathula and Tsomgo Lakes for several days.
