The Directorate General of GST Intelligence team from Delhi has raided a rebar industry at Gagret in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. This rebar industry imports scrap. On Monday, the DGGI team stood still till late evening to search the records at the residence of the big officials of the industry and industry.

There is a stir with this action of DGGI team. However, the DGGI team did not allow anyone to go inside the industry during this period. Nor has anyone been allowed to come out. Any officer of DGGI kept avoiding coming in front of the media. Saria industry established in Gagret has emerged with great speed. Along with Himachal, he has also made his reputation in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. In this rebar industry, rebar is made from scrap.

4 places raided in Gagret area
It is being told that for some time this rebar industry is also importing scrap from abroad. DGGI suspects large scale GST evasion in scrap imports by the said industry. This is the reason why DGGI’s team from Delhi, starting action on a large scale as soon as they arrived here, started searching all the records of the industry.

So far, no concrete information has been found whether the team has got anything in hand or not. But the way DGGI officials are standing inside and outside the industry. It is common for people to discuss that there could be some big issue. The simultaneous raid on the Saria Industry Complex and the residences of its officers definitely created a stir. According to the information, this team raided about 4 places in Gagret area itself.
