India’s largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has recalled 11,177 customers of Grand Vitara. The company told that there is a technical defect in the seat belt of the back seat of this SUV made between August 8, 2022 and November 15, 2022. This car has been recalled.
The company said in an exchange filing that a defect has been found in the mounting bracket for the rear seat belt of Grand Vitar. Seat belt loosening during long drives. In such an accident, there may be a problem in its working. For this reason, the company has recalled the customers of Grand Vitara to rectify this defect. Maruti Suzuki authorized workshops will contact the customer of Grand Vitara and replace the part free of cost.
This is the second recall of Maruti in the month of January. The company had earlier recalled 17,362 vehicles manufactured between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023. These included the Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza Grand Vitara and Baleno. There was a fault in the airbag controllers of these vehicles. Let us tell you that the company had increased the prices of all its models by 1.1 on January 16 itself.
