The fourth Test between India and Australia was a draw. Australia declared their second innings at 175/2 on the fifth day on Monday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After which the captains of both the teams agreed on the draw by shaking hands. Virat Kohli, who played an innings of 186 runs, was the player of the match.
Whereas Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were elected Player of the Series. Team India’s batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill bowled and Kohli taunted umpire Nitin Menon in a funny way. We will know such top moments of the match in this news…
1. Pujara, Gill bowled
Australia captain Steve Smith and Marnus Labushen were batting in the third session on the fifth day of the match. Then Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave bowling to Shubman Gill. After that, Cheteshwar Pujara was also given a chance to bowl. Gill gave away one run in 1.1 overs. Pujara also bowled one over and gave only one run.
Both are mainly known for batting, but seeing the Test match being drawn, captain Rohit made both of them bowl. Both Pujara and Gill bowl off-spin.

2. ‘If I had stayed, I would have definitely been out’
Ravichandran Ashwin was throwing the 35th over of Australia’s second innings. The third ball of the over hit the pads of Travis Head, the bowler appealed, but umpire Nitin Menon gave him not out. Indian captain Rohit Sharma took a review, replays showed that some part of the ball was hitting the stumps. But after the on-field umpire gave not out, batter Travis Head was saved due to an ‘umpire’s call’.
After this ball, Virat Kohli, standing in the slip position, looked at Menon and said, ‘If I had stayed, I would definitely have been out.’ Umpire Menon also started smiling after seeing Kohli. In fact, Kohli has been dismissed several times in this series due to umpires’ calls. That is why he mockingly taunted Menon.

3. Kohli gifted jersey
Virat Kohli gifted his jersey to the Australian players during the presentation ceremony after the match was over. He also gave his autograph on the jersey. BCCI shared this video of Virat on social media, in which he was seen gifting jerseys to Australia’s Usman Khawaja and wicketkeeper Alex Carey.

4. Ashwin-Jadeja both player of the series
Virat Kohli was the player of the match during the presentation ceremony. He played an inning of 186 runs in 364 balls in this match. After him, 2 players got the Player of the Series award. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah gave this award to Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
Ashwin scored 86 runs in the series with 25 wickets. At the same time, Jadeja took 22 wickets in the series with 135 runs.
Both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were Player of the Series in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
5. India lifted the Border-Gavaskar Trophy
India won the 4 test series 2-1 after the Ahmedabad test was drawn. The first 2 Tests were won by India and the third Test by Australia. With this series win, India won their 16th consecutive Test series at home and fourth consecutive Test series against Australia. On the series win, veteran Sunil Gavaskar presented the trophy to India captain Rohit Sharma.
