The army is going to conduct Armax-21 program to increase war tourism on the borders from Ladakh to Himachal and Uttarakhand from Wednesday. Under this, many competitions will be organized from skiing to mountaineering. There will be e-flagging of this program in Delhi. Army people will participate in the skiing competition to be held at Karakoram Pass in East Ladakh. At the same time, common people will be able to participate in the program to be held in Himachal and Uttarakhand.
People will not only climb the inaccessible peaks but will also cross the dreaded glacier and the pass. There are plans to open Kibithu and Tuting of Arunachal also for tourists soon. The aim of ARMEX-21 is to attract tourists to the remote areas of the border so that they can reject those claims of the neighboring country.
Along with army and common citizens, foreign nationals will also be able to participate in this program. The thinking behind this program of the army is also that the way China had been deceived and frozen in the area of East Ladakh, including Pengong Lake, now it could not do such an act again.
