New Delhi:

The political ruckus has intensified over the statement given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Gorakhpur rally that red cap means red alert for Uttar Pradesh. On Wednesday, the Prime Minister’s Office further escalated the controversy by tweeting parts of the Prime Minister’s speech from the PMO India Twitter handle.

“Lal topi people have to form government, to show mercy to terrorists… So, remember, red topi people are red alert for UP i.e. alarm bell”, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Gorakhpur rally. The statement was tweeted by the PMO on the official Twitter handle of PMO India on Wednesday.

There has been a political uproar over this. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav hit back at the Prime Minister. BJP also did not delay in replying.

Union Minister Ashwini Choubey told NewsBust, “What the Prime Minister has said is not in panic, he has told the truth to the people of UP. Whenever red cap people come, they bring terrorists along. In his last tenure, the work of increasing crime happened. Red caps are symbols of terror. People of UP need to be warned against red caps. BJP never panics. There is nothing wrong in what the Prime Minister has tweeted from the official Twitter handle of PMO.

Opposition parties have strongly objected to sharing the Prime Minister’s political speeches on official Twitter handles like PMO India.

AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh told NewsBust, “The use of this kind of language from the official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister is wrong. Modi ji himself wears a black topi, his party wears a black topi… His organization is also a black topi.” These black cap wearers bring black laws with black minds. I won’t be surprised if they change the name of Red Fort to Black Fort. Will they hoist the flag at Kala Fort on 15th August? I want to ask them this ?

However, BJP has clarified that there is nothing wrong in what the Prime Minister’s Office has tweeted from the official Twitter handle of the PMO.
